How HubSpot Is Helping Startups Elevate Their Growth
I’m a big fan of the saying, ‘A rising tide lifts all boats.’ (Not because I like boating, or tides, but because we like nautical references at HubSpot).
When Brian and I set sail with HubSpot over 12 years ago we were the thankful beneficiaries of many rising tides. The world was ready for a new approach to marketing. Buyers were getting fed up with companies’ interruptive tactics. And we were lucky enough to have access to a fantastic network of investors, advisors, and mentors. On the days when it felt like we were just trying to keep a leaky ship afloat, we were particularly grateful for these external forces that helped lift us up.
If you asked me then if HubSpot would ever become someone else’s tide, my answer would have been vaguely hopeful. I’ve always aspired for HubSpot to positively impact the industries we serve, but dreams don’t always come true.
As HubSpot has grown, it has become clear that not only do we have the ability to help young companies, we also have a responsibility to do so. We strive to ensure the companies of tomorrow not only understand how inbound can grow their businesses and how to implement such a strategy.
That’s why HubSpot has decided to bet big on startups. We’re partnering with General Catalyst to launch ELEVATE, a new virtual growth accelerator for startups. Over four weeks and eight sessions, startups will learn how to apply the inbound methodology to their businesses and how to create an impactful growth strategy. In addition to experts from HubSpot and General Catalyst, we will also be bringing on experts from Stripe, Gusto, Verta.ai, B12 and more to deliver case studies on what they’ve learned from implementing inbound.
It’s no secret that at HubSpot, we believe in a future where companies do marketing, sales and service in a more helpful, less intrusive, and a customer-first manner. We know this is an ambitious goal and it’s going to take some time to achieve, but with ELEVATE we’re in this for the long haul. These startups might only have one or two employees today, but they have the potential to be the giants of tomorrow.
I am so thankful for the rising tides that helped turn HubSpot from a little two-person rowboat to the supertanker it is today, and I’m excited to pay it forward. Learn more about ELEVATE today here.
